What is White Dirt?

It is unprocessed Kaolin. It's dug/mined from deep (thousands of feet) in the ground. Its abundant in Georgia but it is also found in the UK, China and other places as well.

Kaolin, also called China clay, is a chalky rock composed chiefly of Kaolinite, together with quartz and mica.

It is formed by the weathering of aluminum-rich silicate rocks, especially feldspar. Over the ages, the crystals washed into large sedimentary deposits.

Our "GeorgiaWhiteDirt" is sourced from what is famously known in the United States as "The Great Chalk Mark" across the state of Georgia. The Georgia deposit dates from 50 million to 100 million years ago, when the Atlantic Ocean covered much of Georgia south of a line drawn from Columbus to Augusta. Above this line, known as the Fall Line, crystalline rocks from the Piedmont Plateau began to break down, and streams carried the tiny crystals seaward. The deposits were later covered with heavy layers of "red" earth.

The dirt/clay is not processed with chemicals and dyes. Its simply Clean, White clay dug from deep within the earth.

So give it a try.  I think you just might like (love) it !!!!!!!

The taste and texture varies at any
given time depending on when and where the kaolin is dug.
It can be soft, smooth, hard, crunchy, wet, dry, sandy, earthy, sour etc....
It depends on the vein that is dug.  Please note that the product is sourced from the earth and that Mother Nature holds the patent on its quality control.

Did You Know?

White Dirt, China Clay, Kalaba, and Ayilo are all Kaolin Clay. Slate Pencil is also largely composed of Kaolin.

Georgia White Dirt Versus Multani Mitti

Similar but not the same :)

Multani Mitti, also known as Indian Fullers Earth, is similar to Kaolin Clay. It is formed by the decomposition of Volcanic Ash.

Georgia White Dirt is Kaolin formed as crystalline rocks from the Piedmont Plateau began to break down, and streams carried the tiny crystals seaward 50-100 million years ago.
